The Pitch

Dear Esteemed Investors,

Imagine this: A thrilling, spine-tingling horror film that not only captures the imagination of genre fans but builds a legacy for its investors. I’m Ryan McGonagle, a Southern California filmmaker with a proven track record in delivering cult favorites like BLACK PUMPKIN, which features rising stars Matt Rife and Grayson Kilpatrick. Our last film’s success demonstrates the financial potential of the genre—and now, we’re poised to outdo ourselves.

I’m inviting you to become an essential part of THE HOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, a project uniquely designed for both cinematic and commercial success.

At November’s American Film Market (AFM), one of my two pitched projects gained significant traction—proving its market appeal. Horror fans are among the most loyal, and as someone deeply embedded in this community (with appearances at Creepy I.E. Con, Monsterpalooza, and more), I’ve witnessed firsthand their fervent support for authentic, practical-effects-driven storytelling.

The Unique Vision: A Movie and a TV Show in One

THE HOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE isn’t just a movie; it’s the centerpiece of NO BUDGET BLOCKBUSTER, an unscripted TV series that chronicles the raw and riveting journey of micro-budget filmmaking. Think Project Greenlight, but for the real indie filmmaking world—showing audiences what it takes to make magic on a $200,000 budget.

Here’s why this is a game-changer for you:

• Integrated Marketing: The TV show becomes a built-in advertisement for the movie, cultivating an audience before its release.

• Investor Visibility: As an investor, you’re featured on-screen, alongside your business, creating unparalleled exposure and alignment with a loyal fanbase.

A Financially Smart Investment

With an estimated value of $750,000, THE HOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHEREis already positioned for significant ROI. Here’s why:

• Featuring notable talent and partnerships with Ojala Studios (Marvel, Warner Bros., Shudder).

• Practical effects and RED camera filming (Netflix standard) to meet the high expectations of genre fans.

• A cult-classic formula: Original storytelling, dedicated fanbase, and real-time exposure through NO BUDGET BLOCKBUSTER.

No Budget Blockbuster

No Budget Blockbuster is a 6-episode reality show that follows the entire process of producing The House In The Middle Of Nowhere, an ultra-low budget horror film with a total budget of just $200,000. It’s more than just a behind-the-scenes docuseries — it’s a bold, raw look at indie filmmaking from concept to red carpet.

Why It's Important to The House In The Middle Of Nowhere?

  1. Exposure & Marketing Tool
The show doubles as a massive marketing engine. Every episode promotes the film while building anticipation and audience investment before the movie even releases. Viewers aren't just watching The House... — they’re rooting for it.
  2. Proof of Concept
The series showcases how a professional-looking film can be created with limited resources. It becomes a living case study for aspiring filmmakers, investors, and studios — proving The House In The Middle Of Nowhere wasn’t a fluke, but the result of skill, hustle, and creativity.
  3. Cross-Promotion Opportunities
Each episode introduces cast and crew, builds their personal brands, and cross-promotes partner companies, gear, services, and the production company Film-A-Mite Inc. — multiplying the reach and monetization potential.
  4. Audience Engagement & Community Building
Fans of the show become emotionally invested in the people making the film. When The House... premieres, it has a built-in audience that already knows the characters behind the camera.
  5. Revenue Stream
The show itself can be monetized — through ad-supported streaming, licensing, or crowd-funding tie-ins — helping recoup costs or even turning a profit before the film’s release.

In short: No Budget Blockbuster is the fuel that powers The House In The Middle Of Nowhere’s success — turning a $200K indie horror flick into a movement, a masterclass, and a must-see event.

POPULAR EXAMPLES OF HORROR IN STREAMING

In today's rapidly evolving film industry, the distribution landscape has undergone significant changes, with streaming services now at the forefront for independent films. While we have a distribution agreement with Uncork'd Entertainment, who successfully released our previous films "Legend of Fall Creek" and "Black Pumpkin," the industry's shift towards streaming cannot be ignored. This change reflects how audiences now consume content compared to just a few years ago.

To capitalize on this shift, we are exploring partnerships with Tubi and Shudder TV, two leading streaming platforms, for the distribution of , "The House in the Middle of Nowhere."

Tubi boasts an extensive library and a diverse audience, offering free access with an ad-supported model that ensures broad viewership without subscription barriers.

Shudder TV specializes in horror, thriller, and supernatural genres, aligning perfectly with our film's target audience. Their curated platform and dedicated fan base provide an ideal avenue for gaining genre-specific recognition and reaching passionate viewers.

Both platforms offer unique advantages, potentially culminating in a buyout scenario where they acquire exclusive rights to our film. Depending on negotiation terms, this could involve a direct cash payment.

Attached is a list showcasing numerous independent horror films that have found successful distribution through Shudder and Tubi since 2016. Many of these films had limited theatrical releases, with their profitability primarily stemming from streaming services. We anticipate engaging sales agents to facilitate our deal, whose role is to maximize the price that the streaming service pays—typically around 10%, deducted from any exclusive rights buyout.
